Award winning author, Barbara Lockhart uses the setting of the Eastern Shore of Maryland for her two novels, Requiem for a Summer Cottage. As well as in her collection of short stories, The Night is Young. With lyrical prose, she captures the flavor of the land and the people, ordinary folk living in small towns and on farms in both the present era and in pre-Civil War history. Her work has been recognized locally and nationally.
BARBARA has studied piano since she was a child. At the precocious age of ten she won a scholarship to the prestigious Juilliard School of Music. Where she graduated from the college division as a composer and pianist. She has worked with some of the top names in the industry, ranging from Quincy Jones, Martin Scorcese, and Michael Jackson.
