Tuesday, October 16, 2007. The best thing about Iraq. On my way to Shenandoah National Forest. As soon as I start gaining altitude, the sky becomes curiously overcast and I can see the wind is picking up by the minute. Yeah, reading 42 degrees right now. Shoot, it was so warm yesterday, too. Crap It was 89 degrees in Norfolk when I left.

They asked for volunteers, so I volunteered. I deployed and spent a year in the sandbox. The Army decided I was too broken to serve any longer and gave me temporary medical retirement. My husband is gearing to deploy. In the meantime, I have a strange love-hate relationship with the Army. Now if only I had a Wolf to go along with it.
