Gwen is in second grade this year and Zeke is in kindergarten. I guess that means he is ready to spread his wings a bit, but it sure is hard to swallow at times. Ben got this rose for me a few days ago.

Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Here are some birds I saw at the park today. I saw several warblers but they never sit still long enough for a picture! Black and white warbler. I dislike Canada geese, but I thought this was a sweet scene. Monday, May 2, 2011. Today I had another new yard bird - a Baltimore oriole. I tried to attract these last year, so I was thrilled when I saw one in my backyard tonight! I also had my first hummingbird of the season last week. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Monday, May 3, 2010. We had our annual cattle roundup at Southern Cross Ranch. We endured harsh winds, cold temperatures and snow, but we all survived. We even had a little horse bucking accident involving Jon and Angela. Grandpa and Tammie also came up for the fun and Grandpa did the branding.
