Sunday, September 7, 2014. Weekend Trip to Newport. We made reservations to stay one night in Newport, Oregon the weekend after Labor Day. It was about two hours south from home and it ended up being pretty chilly and overcast there. We left on Saturday morning and headed to the aquarium in Newport first. The aquarium was pretty cool. We were able to see them feed the sea lions, walk thru the shark tank, and they had a cool kids play area where the kids could practice play fishing. . Boys found a snake.
