Среда, 28 сентября 2011 г. В 1445 великий князь литовский Казимир IV Ягеллончик принял здесь польского посла, предлагавшего ему корону, а в 1492, умер в этом замке. Очень часто останавливался здесь Стефан Баторий, который из Гродно сделал фактическую столицу Речи Посполитой. По инициативе короля замок был перестроен в стиле ренессанса итальянским архитектором Скотто из Пармы. После провозглашения независимости Республики Беларусь в ХХ в. замок был отремонтирован и используется в качестве музея.
