On Friday, the whole school walked to the Awapuni Racecourse to see the war memorial fountain, dedicated to members of the New Zealand Medical Corps who trained at the race course before heading off to World War One. We wear a poppy to remember the soldiers who died in the wars. Poppies grew in the fields where the soldiers had died. I am wearing a poppy. We made anzac biscuits. I am making anzac biscuits.
