Friday, April 30, 2010. Mapping the World By Heart. Second semester 2009-2010 the 6th graders embarked on a huge project called Mapping the World by Heart. Each student complete nine regional maps. After the regional maps were completed students then drew the world map using the information from their regional maps. The original year-long curriculum was compacted into 16 weeks. The exam will be based on readings, discussions, PowerPoints, and lectures related to Chapters 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 24. That is, the period in US history stretching from 1865 to 1939. You will be given twenty-six questions. This section should take fifteen-twenty minutes and is worth 13 percent of your test grade. The multiple choice questions will focus on topics drawn from all chapters except Chapter 24.
