Wednesday, January 10, 2018. A couple years ago, in a season of lower snowfall, Cody and I went for a tour into Sidney Creek, a tributary to Archangel, and saw a striking line off the Sidney-side of Microdot. In January 2015, Cody and I booted through variable snow to the choke. Above us, we had supportable bullet proof snow in the choke, and higher yet, two notable ledges.

Wednesday, March 14, 2018. I grew up in California. My first home, a travel trailer parked on the shore of Long Beach. Later a dilapidated rental in Orcutt, and then years in a three-bedroom pink stucco on. My father, a concrete foreman, was constructing missile bases on Vandenberg. Summertime, my mother took us to Carolina, where we eventually moved to be closer to.

These days we call North Carolina our home, where we continue our love affair with the woods. We still blog about our hiking and trail running adventures, which has allowed us to connect with other hikers from all over the world. We also blog about our home life and our adorable dog, Rooney.
