I went a bit wild last week. At the highest point of my Japanese sewing book fever, I bought fabric. I had told my husband I was quitting my super-consumer ways and it was going quite well until this happened. A light blue, soft chambray with a lovely rainbow selvedge. A proper, woven cotton gingham in blue and off-white.

I was really tired of the unruly dangling shafts of my George Maxwell floor loom,. So I finally decided for a change and ordered new ones - they have a nice sturdy metal frame. And I also splashed out on some new texsolv heddles! It was well worth it - weaving is so much better with the new shafts! Thursday, April 17, 2014.
