Saturday, July 21, 2012. This is a 40th birthday cake for a dear friend. Unfortunately, it was one of the hottest, most humid days we have had in Texas this summer and the black fondant on the bottom layers of the cake started melting causing the fondant to sag. Monday, July 20, 2015. In honor of Grandma Streit. In January, my Grandma Streit left us to be with her two true loves. Grandpa Streit and her Lord. In June, we traveled to Iowa for her memorial. I have no doubt Grandma was smiling and watching every moment with love. Chicago was truly a eclectically beautiful city. The Sky Deck at Willis Tower. And then a very long car ride home.
