Hand turned wooden bowls, platters, vases and much more! Monday, October 1, 2007. I have recently found enjoyment and challenge in turning burls. The wood is knotty and very odd shaped usually but it is so much fun to see what the finished product will look like. Turning through and around the knots takes much concentration and much resharpening of the turning tools. I enjoy turning, but I get the most enjoyment out of seeing someone else enjoy showing it off in their homes.
