Thursday, December 10, 2009. Maiden, Mother, and . I painted and scraped over the initial painting. It was an intense painting that lasted for years that way until I took it up again. I had changed, and the piece transformed from grief . to beauty, resonance, and connection.

The ancients and the ancestors inspire my work. Which often recounts archetypal, spiritual themes. I often mix my own paints with pigments from Italy, my fatherss homeland, and I intentionally use my mothers maiden name, Wegner, when I exhibit. I work in oil, egg tempera, etching, ink, watercolor and sculpture. I studied Comparative Religion and instrument building at Wesleyan University and Fine Arts at PNCA in Portland, Or., where I have my studio practice and an art restoration apprenticeship.
