My name is Nancy Nieves Dreith, I live in North Carolina. My family and I experience beautiful weather all year round, even in winter. The winters are mild and invigorating. The summers are hot, but productive. The North Carolina light is perfect to paint by all year round. I create art almost every day, I have devoted my entire life to my work. Studying the masters, the Impressionists, the Post-Impressionists, the Cubists, the Surrealists and the Abstract Expressionists enable.

Im now cataract-free and adjusting to the changes in my vision- it was only one cataract, which caused a few months of cloudy vision, but it definitely had an effect on my attitude toward life and painting. Its not that I havent been busy, but Ive gotten sort of sidetracked with fun pursuits like gardening, sewing, and breaking up fights between my children.
