Friday, 10 December 2010. Saying goodbye to anyone is hard, particularly as I have spent the last 10 months living and working alongside the people of Gahini and sharing in their lives and culture. The hardest part is not knowing if or when I will see many of the friends I have made again. Ive had a few different events to say goodbye to different people. It transpired that my colleagues at the centre also planned an event on Tuesday - but didnt tell me what or when. The first thing I knew about it.

Today the sun is shining, and it makes life seem better. I know it is only January but I want to play outside in my garden! That is a good thing. It means I am not hurting so much.
