The cause of Down syndrome is unknown, but it has been found that women over age 35 have a slightly higher risk of having a baby with Down syndrome. Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Everything and Nothing like I thought it would be. My little one is going to be starting Kindergarten- very soon. My big one is becoming a little man before my very eyes. She was the first person- the first professional. That came into my home and told me that everything was going to be just fine, because Elijah is just fine.
