Friday, May 15, 2015. Friday Favorites 5.15.15. I will admit, I have had a rough week with the Caps losing in overtime to the Rangers in the 2nd round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. My heart BROKE when the Rangers scored. Totally broke. I am so sad that hockey is over for my Capitals, it was such an amazing year. There is still plenty of hockey in my life, as my boy continues to play travel and High School for the next month. Enough of my depression, lets look at some of my favorites from this week. A spiritual adventure around the world. One of the best aspects of my Moroccan tour was that we got to eat authentic Moroccan food every day, for every meal. Moroccan cuisine is traditionally cooked in a tagine. Vegetables, meat, and spices are slow cooked inside the tagine. The resulting dish is tender with perfectly blended flavors. This is from Mauna Kea, a beautiful view of the Milky Way. This was shot with a 30 second exposure and was not something we could see otherwise. Volcanic rock beginning to grow vegetation, with a little patch of imported trees from a concerned local many years ago. I think this one may be my favorite.
