Thursday, October 17, 2013. The next weekend was our Stake Conference. It was a much anticipated event because Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles was coming. There was a commemorative fireside on Friday night for the 10 year anniversary of the improved Historic Kirtland sites. Jonathan played in the orchestra and attended with Natalie and Megan. Sunday, October 19, 2008. Steve woke up early to capture some of the beautiful sites around Rutland. Later we took all the children up to Yankee Candle Company in South Deerfield, Mass. The trip takes almost all back roads. The winding roads and beautiful farms are like a picture book. Some children began to express doubts that we would ever get there.
