I am a 7th grade Reading Language Arts teacher. I am also the Herrin Middle School Dance Coach. I am currently enrolled at ISU, taking online classes towards my masters in Library Science. One thing I learned in this course that I will not forget tomorrow is that technology is merely a vehicle of instruction. As teachers we should not create instruction to fit the technology. It should be the other way around. Toledo has also provided such a great example of how to make e-learning interactive and meaningful yet simplistic. One piece of advice I would give students that are beginning their journey .
Friday, July 8, 2011. Final Blog Reflection for Class. This blog reflection is my last assignment for my distance learning class! My participation in this course has really changed the way I think about e-learning and helped to reinforce the attitude that high quality learning can still take place without having face-to-face interaction. It has also shown me how increased learning takes place through sharing of ones work and educational experiences, regardless of whether students like it or not.
I am finally starting to feel more comfortable and confident with the online tools I have been presented with throughout this course. Face with e-learning as well.
