Amandas Family History

Wednesday, November 4, 2009. For our second discussion of our family history using an image, I brought in my Grandfathers passport which contained his passport picture dated from 1927. As such, this picture was taken shortly after he applied to move to Canada and just prior to his departure from Hungary to Canada. How would the Canadian government evaluate who was granted access to Canada at this time? Why is there no questions regarding his education present on the immigration application?

Monday, October 5, 2009. Visual Representation of Family History. The source of visual representation I used to portray my family background. Of the photo there is graffiti. On the side of the building next door to their home. This depicts what type of neighbourhood it was and how my Mimi tried to hide this fact in the way she represented herself in public. What I learned about my family in this photo is when my family first established themselves at 145 Balaclava in Amherstburg.
