Wednesday, November 23, 2011. 2 weeks ago, we had the opportunity to go to Kurdistan which is in the northern part of Iraq and it was a fabulous trip. Last year, a little girl came to the hospital from Kurdistan to have surgery on her club foot. It was great to follow up with her and to meet her family. Kurdistan reminded me a lot of Palestine and we really enjoyed our time with the people there. A couple doctors from Oasis went along, too. It was freezing but a nice change.
I am trying to get my family and I back on track to better eating. This post was initially posted on another blog that I no longer contribute to, but I was able to save the contents. After letting the chicken marinate in the fridge overnight, I grilled it on my griddle until they were cooked thoroughly. Then we cut up som.

Judging from my experience in NJ, I knew I would find other mom friends there. I had no idea, of course, just how much a weekly visit to the library would enrich our lives.
