Saturday, April 20, 2013. Poem published April 2013 in Blackberry Winter. Standing under shifting skies, I can almost hear their cries. And as my torment carols on, sings my soul its silent song. There was no bread or hope for life; just endless lines split left and right. My arms were emptied-hands denied, my pleas in vain as were my cries. One last time the gates were opened, glistening canvas of snow unbroken.
Monday, June 27, 2011. Aliyah Jynn Giffen, age 6, passed peacefully at home with her loved ones on Saturday June 18, 2011. Brother Ron Caldwell will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Shane Gaspard, Eugene Boner, Michael Boner, Andy Giffen, Chris Clark, Phillip Lemacks will serve as pallbearers. Paul Johnson, Danny Martin, Phil Anderson, and Duane Boner will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Monday, September 18, 2006. I did a lot of thinking during my blog break, and this seems like the right way to go. If I lose you, my audience, it will make me sad, but I will understand! The ironic thing is that now my aliyah hopes are closer to coming true than ever. My family is actively helping me- sending me the necessary documents for the Jewish Agency, being emotionally.
Friday, April 24, 2015. I Have No Idea What You Just Said. These three things happened to me just today. Hmm, knowing my husband, who is still recovering from the trauma that was Tax Season 2015, he probably bought challos and left them in the store. Seriously, I have no idea what he asked me.
