Tuesday, August 14, 2012. For the second time in my life I get to experience the joy of being a proud mama to a beautiful baby girl. I wondered this entire pregnancy whether a delivery would be any different in loving a child than an adoption. I was so ticked off. The day continued, me being in a horrible mood, and Ben and I went to bed with no signs baby was coming.

Adoption is a practice that has been used for thousands of years to find families for parent-less children and children for child-less couples. Evidence shows that the ancient Greeks, Romans, Babylonians, and even the Egyptians all had different systems of adoption used in their cultures.

In Life, Love, and the Journey to Adopt. Friday, October 31, 2014. I love dressing up for Halloween and I am so grateful Travis is willing to wear whatever costume I come up with. We went with a Dr Seuss theme this year and I think it turned out really cute. Travis and I were Thing 1 and Thing 2, Leah was the peacock and Kenzie was the gold fish in a bowl. Travis and I went to a party at our friends house and we loved the display of food that they had. Travis, Michelle, Leah, and Kenzie.
