A Life in the South of France. Monday, June 16, 2008. For the last 8 years my dogs and I have walked in the woods nearby. We pile in the car whatever the weather and try to get the heart pumping and the blood moving. In fact I was rather pleased to read that doctors are prescribing a stiff walk in amongst the greenery to help overcome mild depression. I always come home with spirits noticeably lighter. Tuesday, January 16, 2007. i would first off like to say a belated but sincere HAPPY NEW YEAR. Now to post photos if a little late of the wonderful SSOF parcel I received before Christmas from Julia French Fancy. When opening the Christmas SSOF parcel my eyes fell upon presents sumptuously wrapped in royal purple paper and tied up with taffeta ribbon trimmed with gold beads.

This blog is for my pictures. I found Illustration Fridays a while ago and it reignited my interest in drawing and painting. It was a great impetus to keep a hobby going for a time. I was prompted to move out of my comfort zone and branch out.

Alison Atkins began winning awards for her art at the age of eight. She received a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her creative endeavors took her to Europe where she earned a Master of Fine Art degree from Dominican University in Florence, Italy. This was the beginning of an artistic journey.
