Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Victoria Marathon Trip Part 1. It took me almost 2 weeks to write this post. not because I was disappointed but because there was too much good to say! We left Calgary on Wednesday morning and drove to Kelowna, BC for our first stop. Kelowna is a happening spot and I hope to visit again during the summer. The BMO Okanagan Marathon was taking place on Sunday so the marathon Vibe was evident in the city when we went out to eat that evening.

Ein Lichtblick am Ende des langen Wintertunnels. Mount Lorette Ponds im Kananaskis Country. Ich setze mich auf den Steg, richte das Gesicht zur Sonne und schließe meine Augen. Die Sonne brennt so stark auf das Gesicht, dass man sich auf die durch den Winter bleich gewordene Haut schnell einen Sonnenbrand holen kann. Man könnte meinen, es wäre Sommer. Ich sitze da und lasse das Vitamin D auf mich wirken. So genoss ich die Stille.

Thursday, February 23, 2012. Winter has drifted by without much ceremony. March will be here in a few days and the switch back to Daylight Savings Time. Been pulled away from running on a regular basis so I think I will shelf my spring marathon plan for now. Too many balls in the air at the moment. Regards to all those who are better organized than I am. I see dozens of committed runners everyday dutifully making the rounds. I wish I were among them.

There was one other vehicle in the parking lot when I arrived and no one to be seen but this guy. I know coyotes are suppose to be more afraid of me than me of them but from this guys behaviour, I was not sure of his intention. I waited in my car for about 20 minutes until he went on his way. I found the inukshuk field. I set up my camera to take a destination shot beside the inukshuk in the bottom lef.CONTENT
