Climbing For Corps

Sunday, June 24, 2012. Our Successful Summit Climb on Mt. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. After a short lunch we went on to talk about the differences in foot technique while wearing crampons. The rest of the day was spent putting on our harnesses and roping up in teams of four to practice proper climbing in a rope team. We finished off by going over some techniques for climbing with fixed ropes before heading back down to Paradise.

Friday, October 16, 2009. My girlfriend booked a business trip to Portland and suggested that we spend the weekend together on the Columbia River. So, after realizing that I could get a shot. At Mt Hood, I agreed! Not to give anything away, but the photo to the right demonstrates my unique ability to attract storms at high altitude. Hiking in near zero visibility and wind-driven rhime ice, I was excited to find this ridge, which I knew would lead directly to the summit.
