I received an email Thursday informing me that my Uncle Paul was in a convalescent center due to an infection after a fall he had. He was having trouble breathing and was extremely tired. He passed away in his sleep surrounded by family. 12 Months, 12 Things. The first day of the rest of my life.

Just good down to Earth people who believe in hard work and country music and want nothing more than a peaceful existence and a few beers with your loved ones on the weekends. We have an actual bonfire season, and I get all fuzzy and nostalgic when I think about where I grew up.

I complete my 25 minute walk to school through the village with other students. I prepare the classroom and greet students. During the school year, I stay aft.

We went to The Sycamore, a bar built next to a Sycamore tree, and had a few Banks beers.
