A full time Art Educator who dedicates her after school time to making art. Friday, June 20, 2014. Explorations in Art Cloth with my Students. Since my trip to Arrowmont. I have been exploring dyeing, printing, stamping, and art cloth in my own work. This has been so much fun that I knew I had to add this type of work to my classroom curriculum. Through the help of DonorsChoose. I was able to get a Thermofax. Machine and hoops so I could introduce printing and embroidery to my students.
ASAP stands for After-School Art Program. This is a volunteer program designed to provide art exposure to children who participate in after-school daycare programs. ASAP requires very little money to start a program and it is a great way to provide art exposure through a variety of art mediums to children. August 2011 ASAP begins as a volunteer initiative by Ali Skinner at Franklin Elementary in Vincennes, Indiana with 30 students in after school care.
