Getting to Nicaragua via chicken buses was painfully slow but I did get to observe life here and in Costa Rica more than I had been able to previously. Costa Rica, like Panama, is a tourist haven and with their robust tourism industry they have become quite organized and adept at serving any and every need of any kind of traveler.
