Monday, June 23, 2014. I suspect few people in the United States with any kind of connection to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have not been exposed to the recent controversy surrounding two members of the Church being summoned to disciplinary councils for apostasy. It seems that everyone has an opinion on the issue. An awful lot has been said on the subject from a variety of sources. The dynamics of this fiasco were on my mind as I went to church last week.
