Saturday, September 3, 2016. I have been improving my back yard these past few seasons, beginning in 2013. While most of my improvement projects that first year were devoted to urgent repairs on the house and garage, I did have my rotten deck replaced. I knew the plants would suffer, and they did. Impatiens, my old reliables, sickened. Some houseplants actually bit the dust! This is one view of my courtyard garden, all filled up! .

Thursday, March 6, 2014. Cold, snowy but thankfully very sunny. We are having quite a winter. So much snow we are running out. So I really missed it. I think this was my home coming. I am looking forward to spring though. All my favorite shops will start opening.

Sun shining and quite warm as we enjoyed a canal boat ride, later. City tour on board the Hop On Hop Off bus,. And some walking between. Time for a little more sightseeing tomorrow morning before flying to London. Our traditional fish n chips supper at a favorite pub near Heathrow airport. Planned for tomorrow evening - a good sleep, and then back to the USA on Friday.CONTENT
