Fridtjof Nansen blir bygget på verftet Astilleros Gondan, Alvaro Platero. Verftet som holder til nordvest i Spania spesialiserer seg på skreddersydde fartøy. De har bygget 15 fartøy for norske eiere tidligere, men dette er den første kontrakten for den norske regjeringen. Vi vil ca en gang i måneden gi ut et nyhetsbrev fra byggeprosessen.
