Wednesday, December 14, 2011. And the tree came a tumbling down. A few hours later some angels showed up in the form of young men, young women, mothers, neighbors and friends and started cutting the limbs off the tree. Within a few hours the limbs were all stacked on the curb in front of the house! From the storm the landfills received more green waste than they normally collect in a year. This is the tree trunk we were left with. My neighbor grabbed her camera and took pictures.

After living in Provo for the past ten years, Annie and I finally made it over to the hot air balloon festival. It was really cool! I sort of figured Id seen it since I had seen the balloons floating in the air. But being there, close up, while the balloons filled up, was definitely a different experience. Or because Im a sissy?
