Saturday, October 24, 2009. Following this Timetable, are photos of Gillman Barracks and Singapore. 59 Squadron - Advance Party arrived in Singapore, under command of Major Bramwell. Drivers were taken to Malaya - Terendak, to collect vehicles for the Squadron, despite the Chinese Riots, which were being contained.

The Squadron returned to Chatham and run down to a Cadre, the Squadron Staff were amalgamated with B Sqn of the Depot Regiment to form 59 SME in Brompton Barraks, with Major HP Cunningham assuming command of the Squadron. 59 SME Squadron granted the Royal title, now becamr 59 RSME Sqn. The Squadron was re-titled 36 RSME Sqn.

In conjunction with 7 Field Company and 225 Field Company, the Field Companies were used as an Infantry Battalion.
