Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Assignments for the last week of class! Make a list of people you admire. They can be dead or alive. They can be people you know personally, or people that you have only heard about. Try to think of at least 10 people. Describing words about each of them. Keri Mac- lawyer, ivy league, billable hours, dancer, committed. My grampa- brilliant, hardworking, addicted, loving, my best friend, my hero. Take your list of people, chose one, and write a story.
I have 5410 cents in my bank account. Monday, May 3, 2010. I will go into these journal assignments in more detail later. This is certainly more difficult to measure, but repeat.
Sunday, May 2, 2010. Students will practice editing and changing their poems to make the best product. Students will practice writing a 20 line poem with very specific directions. Each line has to be a specific thing. Students will practice changing up lines in order to practice editing skills and become better poets.
Creative Writing Class for Grades 10-12. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. 1 Students will practice writing dialogue that fits a given situation and character. 2 Students will insert dialogue into an already begun piece of writing. A Students will focus on the use of dialogue to both give add to characterization and advance plot. 1 Does this advance the plot? 6 Once students have finis.
I have lots of ideas, but have always been nervous about taking the first step in putting the words on paper, rather making those first few keystrokes.
