For those interested in crafts and craft instruction, there is a new site that I stumbled across and been observing their class expansion for a while now. Here is the result, quilted tote made from what I could dredge up from my fabric and button stash. The goal was to keep this project a zero cost, other than my time. I made a few unplanned modifications, like using a patterned fabric. I also sewed the zipper onto the wrong side. Oops! I have since signed up for the more subs.

Babies, vinyl and otherwise. As I mentioned in my previous post, I have made a parenthesis in my year of finishing to allow for a baby project. For my tiny new niece, born barely a month ago, I finished a blanket which I hope will get plenty of use. The pattern is Anita Jaenschs Bébé. A Manhattan yarn shop would carry the right kind of grey baby yarn. Once blocked, the blanket drapes wonderfully. The yarn for the bod.
