I have thoroughly enjoyed this module from beginning to end and i think this is reflected in the number and content of my blog posts. I have stuck to my storyboards quite closely, and i think the story created is very interesting and engaging. This is my first ultra realistic render and gives a cool contrast to the cartoony character. I think they have been covered well and hope to extend and improve this animation in the future.
Friday, 15 April 2011. Final Animation and SWOT Analysis. This module has given me an insight into how characters are designed, animated and given a life-like personality. I have been able to experiment with different methods of creating cloth using the cloth and garment modifiers, as well as using the SuperSpray particle emitter for the first time! Previous experience with 3DS Max has allowed me to successfully experiment using differen.
The main idea of the project is to really show off the ability to animate the character without the use of voice, voiceovers or speech bubbles. This means that the person watching the animation needs to be able to understand what feelings and emotions the character is trying to portray just from his facial expressions and actions. After conducting research into how humans react in different scenarios it was important I tried to re-create this with the Snowman.
In conclusion, this project has taught me the importance of body language and how it can easily define a character. It was really all about the aesthetics. If it looked great, it was good enough. Thanks to this module, I now know that coming up with a personality for the character can be equally, if not, more important than coming up with a good design. Overall, despite a few.

Any sound used is solely to supplement the scene and not meant to be the primary force in which to interpret what is going on. I am happy at how well I managed to stick to my original storyboards, but yet still see when a problem was going to arise before it actually happened - and work around it. As mentioned previously, I would very much like to i.
Wednesday, 13 April 2011. The character is immediately shown as friendly in the intro sequence as he waves at the camera. His dream of the cake is realised pretty quickly, by his excitement when seeing it. His fears are also pretty obvious, shown in the eyes. His special skill is to be able to transform into most things it sees, and can take a lot of punishment. This character has potential to be a main character of a story, but more likely will fit as a sidekick.
Thursday, 14 April 2011. Having completed the module I am very pleased with the final outcome. I have enjoyed producing the animation sequence and learning new skills throughout which is an advantage in relation to my finished animation. Render although the drawback of this is how long it takes to render in full HD. Overall I am pleased with how the module has gone and of the outcome of my final animation. I have gained some vital skills and experience over the course and.
