The school is open for everybody, both for committed illustrator and enthusiastic amateur. The program can lead to a Certificate that is offered only a few locations worldwide. The Certificate Program was initiated and established in 1990 by Angela Overy. Those who dare to teach never cease to learn.

Laurence is trained in illumination, calligraphy and iconography. She has been painting Byzantine style icons for over 20 years. Egg tempera combined with traditional gilding techniques has been her main media with the icons. Laurence teaches watercolor, graphite and egg tempera. Theme images by Jason Morrow.
Marjorie, a professional scientific illustrator, uses both traditional and digital techniques to produce illustrations for trade and textbook publications, and interpretive exhibits. She has taught botanical illustration at Denver Botanic Gardens since 1990. Marjorie teaches pencil, pen and ink, mixed media, computer graphics, perspective, and composition. Mervi is a botanist with a PhD in quaternary biology and D. Mervi teaches Botany, Microscopic techniques and Bookbinding. I enjoy simplifying science for others and strongly believe in educating the public on science issues. Theme images by Jason Morrow.
