Friday, September 5, 2014. A few months ago, I offered up some 1968 Topps Playing Card. Inserts in trade for something on my want list. To date I have had one response, from blog reader Dave of Middletown, MD. Dave sent me four 1970 high-numbered cards in excellent condition, in return for a handful of 1968 playing cards. Here is the first of those four cards. Along with Tom Phoebus and Jim Hardin.
A trip through the hippest card set ever. Saturday, October 1, 2011. This is a tribute to the 1975 Topps set, the first set I ever collected, the best set I ever collected, and my most favorite set of all-time. Those were great times to be a 9-year-old boy.
Tonight, I say good-bye. My blogging days are done and my ride of 12,268 articles written will come to an end. I have not skipped a day of posting an article to this blog since August 17, 2008. Tomorrow, my streak ends at 2,281.

The backs of both his 1962 and 1965 cards mention arm troubles, so that may explain why it all seemed to fall apart for him beginning in 1966. He retired with a career record of 101-80, a lifetime 3.

In my neighborhood, the 6th series was unavailable. I completed this in the 1980s. - 28-SEP-2009. Saturday, September 20, 2014. Osteen was signed by the Reds in 1957 and was assigned to their AA Nashville team. Although he pitched in the minors from 1957-59, he played a few games with the Reds in 57 and 59.
