Tuesday, April 18, 2006. On our way around Temple we made stops at the Student Pavillion, The IBC, and theSAC. The IBC located on the corner of 15th and Cecil B. At the IBC students and faculty are able to workout, play sports, and use the indoor track. The IBC was the farest placed we walked to. They hold classes there to let people know how healthy there bodies are. The Student Pavillion is located on Broad and Berks. Students are able to play basketball, foozball, and minigolf.
Wednesday, April 19, 2006. THIS IS OUR HEALTHSCAPE TRIP ROUTE. ON THIS TRIP WE MAINLY WENT TO DIFFERENT TYPES OF HEALTH FACILITIES. WE TOOK PICTURES OF THOSE HEALTHSCAPES AND WROTE DOWN THE ADDRESSES AND WHAT THOSE HEALTH FACILITIES ARE USED FOR. THESE ARE SOME OF THE FACILITIES THAT WE WENT TO. OUR FIRST STOP WAS THE PHMC HEALTH CONNECTION LOCATED AT 11TH AND BERKS ST. IT IS THE CLOSEST CLINIC TO TEMPLE UNIVERSITY.
Wednesday, May 03, 2006. Today was the final day of the bITS spring program. I hope to come back for the summer program. It was fun and a great educational experience. Thursday, April 27, 2006. I am member of b. S, which stands for Building Information Technology Skills. In this program we are learning how to create a geographic information system. So far we have drawn a map of our own niehborhood and pin pointed land marks in our community. I am really enjoying myself in this program and hope to learn a lot more about using maps.
